Fred Jackson to miss time with hamstring injury

Buffalo Bills coach Rex Ryan said the team considered signing free agent Michael Vick, but projected his odds of success were slim in the city’s cold temperatures. Bills coach Rex Ryan says Jacksons injury is “not a awful one, ” but he will probably miss two weeks.

Buffalo Bills running back Fred Jackson (22) signs autographs for fans during their NFL football training camp in Pittsford, N.Y., Saturday, August 1, 2015.

Tyrod Taylor is something of an unknown in the quarterback race.

Before this offseason, you likely never knew about Taylor.

“The guys up front really just got to their keys and blocked well”, McCoy said. I saw where he got his helmet knocked off a couple times, so that’s what stood out to me.”When you look at what the Buffalo Bills did in the off-season, you would normally be ecstatic about their chances this upcoming season”. He has thrown for 199 yards, no touchdowns and two interceptions throughout his entire four-year career with the Baltimore Ravens. But with the Bills, Taylor is set to jump from the shadows to the spotlight.

Taylor has the advantage of having nothing to lose, and there hasn’t been any media scrutiny around him either. “Try to go out there a show something each and every time”.

“He runs the best, he has that similar like Mike Vick type of movements”, said LeSean McCoy. “We may know, but they may not know”.

For now, the guy is unknown and it might stay that way until week one in the regular season.

There was a notable lack of consistency from play to play, and the quarterbacks weren’t helped by an offensive line – regardless of the combination – that struggled to pass protect, by receivers who dropped some passes, and by Brown who fumbled yet again.

Ryan has been known to make bold moves in the past, and this would simply be another one of those decisions.
