Junior Galette is thankful that the Washington Redskins gave him a second chance.

NFL star Junior Galette – who was just released by the Saints for off-the-field issues – was charged with 3 misdemeanors in Louisiana stemming from a traffic stop gone wrong… He was arrested for domestic violence in January (the charges were later dropped) and is dealing with a torn rotator cuff. But Galette first might have to hear from the NFL, which could hand down a stiff suspension for possible violation of the league’s personal conduct rules. In June, Larry Holder of the Times-Picayune reported the 27-year-old was purportedly the subject of a YouTube video from 2013 showing a man striking multiple people, including a woman, with a belt.
The one-year deal, according to Galette’s agent, is for the league minimum.
Pass rusher Junior Galette did not have to wait long to find a new home. Any personnel department led by McCloughan is going to do its homework – hence, bringing in Galette a day before signing him to evaluate his injured pectoral muscle (he should be fine for the season) and his current mental state – but was it with true objectivity?
Sports World Report believes that Galette is actually a target of the Dallas Cowboys, Chicago Bears, New York Giants, and Oakland Raiders.
Abruptly released by New Orleans last week, Galette suited up in a No. 58 Redskins jersey for individual drills Friday. “You want players that know what to do and can do it well”, Payton said.
Galette was cut by the New Orleans Saints less than a year after he landed a massive contract extension from the team and was named one of its captains. “Each guy has to hold themselves accountable and say, ‘Am I the type of teammate that I would want to have?’ And if you’re not happy with that answer, then you need to make some changes for yourself”. All of these players agreed the first day of training camp has them feeling like a rookie again, including 10-year vet Zach Strief.
“It makes you accountable on every play”, he said. Galette has been an uncaged animal the last two seasons, piling up 22 sacks and 126 combined sacks, hits and hurries. He could provide a pass-rushing complement to outside linebacker Ryan Kerrigan, stepping into a role left vacant by Brian Orakpo’s departure via free agency.

The Bills and NFL are investigating what occurred, and the team hasn’t ruled out the potential of firing Kromer, who is scheduled to appear in court on August. 12. “I got in it this morning”. Loomis said the Saints were also waiting on possible discipline on Galette from the NFL.
