Leicester City’s exultant players and beaming manager Claudio Ranieri went back to work in a daze as the sports world saluted their outlandish Premier League triumph as the ideal example of the “magic of football”.

Claudio Ranieri’s mother reveals what the Leicester City manager said at that famous lunch, why she cried with joy and Roma “disrespected him”.

Leicester were remarkably crowned Premier League champions on Monday after Hiddink’s Chelsea came from two goals down to deny Tottenham the victory they required to take the title race into the final two games of the season.

Leicester will grab a staggering 93 million pounds from winning the title and will also receive an additional 30 million pounds for securing a spot in the Champions League.

But Gary Cahill gave Chelsea a lifeline before the hour and Eden Hazard, whose goals helped the Blues win the title a year ago, curled in a superb 83rd-minute equaliser to deflate Spurs and confirm Leicester as champions for the first time. Next season will be the same, for the next 10 or 20 years will be the same. Ranieri spent 18 months at the Italian side but left in 2011 after he fell out with club officials. “Start again”. So when I said to you [the media] we play match by match, it was true”.

Twitter said Leicester’s win triggered an 86 per cent increase in activity on the social media site in Britain.

“One is very aggressive – I want to win. Everyone knows the Premier League”.

The Italian singer will perform at the King Power Stadium before the game against Everton at which Leicester will be presented with the Premier League trophy. “I lost my title to Claudio Ranieri and it is with incredible emotion that I live this magic moment in his career”, he said in a statement.

Though the Foxes will be in party mode, manager Claudio Ranieri has stated his intent for his players to finish the season strongly.

“We worked so hard”. “It is going to be very emotional”.

“I didn’t know until afterwards”.
