Free Easter egg hunts abound this weekend

Children ages 7-11 can partake in a flashlight egg hunt at 7:30 p.m. March 25. The event occurs March 26 9 a.m.-11 a.m. with no admission cost at the Gazebo in downtown Venice. It’s hosted by Joseph Pozzuoli Architects.

3 p.m.: Brush – Sunset Manor hosts an annual Easter Egg Hunt at their 2200 Edison St. campus.

Special guest The Easter Bunny, after hiding candy and prize eggs about the park, will personally greet children in advance of the 10 a.m. hunt. Food will be provided starting at 9:30 a.m. with a bounce house and face painting which will be $1-$3. Activities at the site include: Easter egg hunts for infants to 6-year-olds and 7- to 12-year-olds, a hay ride, games, activities and photos with the Easter Bunny.

You may pre-register for the Easter Egg Hunt by buying your tickets at the Wiscasset Community Center now.

The Eggnormous Easter Egg Hunt will feature areas for kids of different ages to search. Among the hidden eggs will be special prize eggs. Also includes photo opportunities with the Easter Bunny. Everyone is welcome to this free event. The Easter egg fields will contain over 12,000 eggs and is for children ages 12 and younger. Though the egg dives normally have a small admission fee, all of the egg hunts are free. Children ages 0 to 12 will be allowed to participate but must be accompanied by an adult.

Easter worship service is set for Sunday, March 27, 11 a.m., with special music by the church choir.

Two more egg hunts will also be offered in Grass Valley on Saturday. The youngest kids begin at 5:15 p.m. with older kids to follow. The event is free to all children, who are welcome to meet the Easter Bunny at the event. Learn to make Easter treats and take one home.

Pam Parrish brought her 6-year-old granddaughter, Faith, to the Easter egg hunt for the first time, along with her infant son Quincy, but she and her husband are hardly newcomers, as they brought their eldest daughter to the event year after year as a child.
