Freshman quarterback Gage Shaffer, who hasn’t played this season, was suspended earlier this week and graduate transfer Daxx Garman had season-ending shoulder surgery earlier in the year. Over under has seen the Indiana Hoosiers go a 5-2-1 so far, while the Maryland Terrapins go 5-3.

“Coach Locksley has really been pushing trying to get the seniors a win for their last home game”. Indiana’s Simmie Cobbs Jr. had nine catches for 192 yards receiving, including two catch-and-runs where he weaved through the Maryland defense, breaking tackles and causing defenders to run into each other as they chased him. Indiana Hoosiers rank at 99 for 123.7 road rushing yards where as Maryland Terrapins rank at 62 for allowing 148.6 rushing yards at home. It was his first-ever 3-touchdown game, and his 250 yards on the ground were the most by any Terrapin since Bruce Perry in 2003.

“I just saw huge holes”. Sound familiar? The matchup with the Scarlet Knights may mark the last game for Locksley as Maryland’s head coach, as he is rumored to be in consideration for the full-time position this offseason. “We went in at halftime and he was ruled out”.

What the loss means for Maryland: The same can’t be said for interim coach Mike Locksley.

On senior day at Maryland, the Terrapins could hardly have gotten off to a better start.

After the Hoosiers kicked a field goal on the opening possession, Ross busted through a hole in the middle of the line and took off on the longest run of his career.

He took Maryland’s second play from scrimmage 79 yards for a touchdown.

Brandon Ross finished the first half with 156 yards rushing for the Terps on 12 attempts with a pair of rushing touchdowns.

An IN turnover followed, and Rowe turned it onto a 14-yard touchdown pass to Malcolm Culmer for a 21-3 lead after roughly nine and a half minutes. Sudfeld’s 19-yard touchdown connection with Paige, which came on third-and-19, cut the lead to 11 and opened the floodgates for the Hoosiers.

IN then executed a successful onside kick, and Sudfled scored on a one-yard sneak to put the Hoosiers ahead for good.
