Every year July 15 is celebrated as World Youth Skills day to highlight the fundamental rights of the youth. It aims to create more awareness and a discussion on training and the development of skills for the youth of today, in hopes of creating a better opportunity for them when it comes to employment.

The avenues for employment is all around and we need to emphasis on what we are good at rather wasting resources on investing in what we are not good at, he stated.

“This explosive situation has to be prevented”, he stressed.

Addressing the gathering, the President also congratulated the Ministry of Skill Development and Entrepreneurship (MSDE) for their achievements in a short span of time.

He also launched an International Skill Centre, a PMKVY 2.0, a Labour Market Information System and Skills Online. This is correct to have a ministry specially accountable and responsible for this herculean task and to forecast on the development of skill, he said.

He mentioned that recently skill development of 1500 employees of the Rashtrapati Bhavan was undertaken by the MSDE.
