Freedom 251 seekers trolled by unresponsive website, apology offered

Ringing Bells sells its phones through a website, unveiled “Freedom 251”, the cheapest addition to their existing range of phones that are all priced at under 50 United States dollars.

The Freedom 251 will be available online and at 650 distributors across the country from 18 February. The Freedom 251 features a 4-inch qHD display, a 1.3GHz quad-core processor, 1GB of RAM, and 8GB of internal storage. The inbuilt touchless technology is Ideal for selfie.

The smartphone costing just about one percent of the price of Apple’s iPhone has been unleashed by Indian company Ringing Bells and will be called Freedom 251. In short, innovative solutions for a Brighter tomorrow.

The Freedom 251 will be officially unveiled in New Delhi on Wednesday evening at an event that will be presided over by Dr. Murli Manohar Joshi, MP, with the Union Defence Minister Sri Manohar Parrikar as the Chief Guest.

Ringing Bells, a little-known manufacturer based in the northern Uttar Pradesh state, started selling the Freedom 251 on its website on Thursday. However, the review units which were shared might not have been made by Ringing Bells at all so as of now, we can’t really tell you whether this phone is too good to be true or not. Currently, if you book the Freedom 251, you won’t have to pay anything.

Although the company says that the phone’s delivery will be completed four months later – by June 30, 2016 – the pre-booking, in this case, is still inaccessible to users. The dual SIM device runs on Android 5.1 lollipopOS, it also features a 3.2 MP Rear camera and a 0.3 MP front camera.

It comes with pre-installed apps like Women Safety, Fisherman, Swachh Bharat, Farmer, Medical along with WhatsApp, Facebook, YouTube and others. A micro SD card slot is expandable up to 32GB, and the device is powered by a 1450 Mah battery.
