Freeze Warning Saturday Night

A few areas of patchy frost are possible early tomorrow morning, especially in the very northernmost part of Mississippi.

A freeze warning is in effect for inland Connecticut, while the immediate shoreline has a freeze watch for tonight. Most of central Indiana is expected to see a frost and/or a freeze this weekend. Frost is likely in the metro and a hard freeze is likely north and west. This will be the coldest three-day period of low temperatures since late March.

Sunday night has the potential of being even colder, with a low reaching to 31 degrees. A freeze warning has been issued for 2 AM to 9 AM Sunday in Dyer, Crockett, Madison and McNairy counties in Tennessee.

Tuesday: Warming trend continues with temperatures climbing into the upper 60s under a mostly sunny sky.

Saturday: Sunny, with a high near 57. High pressure positioning itself in our area will also keep skies clear and further push those temperatures to a few of the lowest readings we’ve seen yet this season.

You’ll want to cover them the night before because you don’t want to wait too long. Our next cold front looks to pass through Thursday, but it is moisture starved. Plant roots are still active this time of year, so there is another week or two of safe seeding before dormant seeding season sets in.
