Freeze Warning: Temperatures could drop to at or below freezing, which could kill crops and sensitive vegetation.
Frost is expected across much of central Alabama over the weekend, but a widespread freeze was not expected, according to forecasters at the weather service office in Birmingham.
The high Saturday is forecast at 60 degrees, with northwest winds, then dropping to about 36 degrees with “patchy frost” overnight into early Sunday morning. Temperatures will fall into the upper 20s in many areas before sunrise Saturday morning.
A frost advisory means temperatures are forecast to dip into the mid 30s with frost possible.
If you are looking to prolong the growing season, do not forget to either bring them indoors or wrap them up.
