Freezing rain and snow expected Tuesday
LANSING, MI (WLNS) – Mid-Michigan is under a Winter Weather Advisory through 1 a.m. Wednesday as 4-8 inches of snow is expected.

Thursday, expect increasing clouds and a high of 38, according to the National Weather Service at State College. It remains in effect until 2 p.m. Thursday.
The temperature is forecast to drop to about 12 degrees overnight Wednesday.
The snow that did fall overnight is heavy, for your snow removal planning purposes.
European model shows storm center too far to D.C.’s south and east on Friday morning for accumulating snow to reach the area.
Another 4 to 6 inches of snow may be heading this way.
Snow is expected to develop late Wednesday evening and into Thursday morning, diminishing by Thursday afternoon.
The most likely scenario is a mix of rain and snow Thursday evening, then all snow after 1 a.m. Friday. West wind at 10 to 15 miles per hour.
– Total snowfall of 3-6 inches, with the highest amounts near I-96. Chance of precipitation is 90%. “In rare cases we see a big something in March; even into April, you can get a little bit of onion snow, as it’s called here”. Monday’s high is forecast at 52 degrees, with climbing temperatures for the rest of the week.
A few inches of snow may fall on northwestern Pennsylvania into northern NY and New England, reported AccuWeather.
