Freezing Rain This Evening, Icy Travel Possible

In the South, suspected tornados associated with the big storm system turned several homes to rubble Monday in the northwest corner of Florida’s Panhandle and in Mississippi.

The rapid freeze and thaw cycles that have hit the region since a late January storm dumped nearly 3 feet of snow have wrecked havoc on road surfaces.

Another batch of snow is possible Wednesday, but Coyle said it is not looking like it will amount to much.

Driving conditions are already poor in some parts of the county and the freezing rain, followed by snow, has the potential to knock out power this afternoon and evening.
