The Palace manager is set to agree a season-long loan deal with Chelsea for the out-of-favour striker.
The France worldwide joined Chelsea from Queens Park Rangers in the summer of 2014 but has failed to make an impact in West London.
France global Remy, who scored once in 13 appearances for the Blues last season, is not part of their new manager Antonio Conte’s plans and is likely to play more regularly at Selhurst Park.
Palace have an option to make the move for Remy permanent next summer.
Pardew already broke the club’s transfer record this window, bringing in striker Christian Benteke from Liverpool in a £32million deal.
“Loic has global and Champions League experience as well as being a Premier League title victor and is the latest example of the high calibre of players we have brought into the club during this transfer window”.
