Friday AM Weather: More Rain

Periodic chances for thunderstorms continue through the weekend, the weather service said, and organized severe weather is not expected.

A thunderstorm is possible between 7 a.m. and 4 p.m. from the Pioneer Valley to Boston, the National Weather Service said, with the heaviest rainfalls to hit southern communities. It said there is a low chance of thunderstorms into Saturday and Saturday evening, but severe storms are not expected. High in the upper 80s.

Tonight: The trend is that this activity will taper down past sunset and we will see breaks in the clouds overnight tonight.

Friday night, look for a slight chance of showers and thunderstorms. Sticky. High: 86. Winds: NW 5-10 miles per hour. We’re tracking highs in the 80s. Tuesday night, partly cloudy, with a low around 71.

Today… Partly sunny with a high near 84. We will see partly cloudy skies for Thursday and sunny skies for Friday. Otherwise, mostly cloudy, with a high near 85. But more rain is moving in from the west. We’ll see mostly cloudy skies this evening with a few showers & storms. Highs on Saturday will be in the low 80s.

Next week the heat’s on again when highs soar back to near 100 by Tuesday or Wednesday.

Daytime heating and boundaries will help spark off scattered showers and thunderstorms through the weekend.
