Nothing severe is expected despite having temperatures in the mid 60’s. We are timing the steadiest rain for Friday afternoon. High clouds will increase during the day, but sunshine will be able to send temperatures above the 60º mark this afternoon. Highs will not be as warm as tonight, but still above normal into the lower 50s. The forecast calls for highs to reach the upper 60s, although some areas could reach the low 70s if the sun returns earlier than expected. A weak system will move through on Sunday ahead of a cold front. A slight chance for a rain or snow shower shows up Wednesday with another chance for rain Thursday. The European model has done a far better job forecasting this weather pattern the past few weeks, and for that reason this forecast is weighted heavily toward the European model. It will help to spread showers across the area towards late evening. Tonight, skies are partly cloudy and not as cold with lows near 30 by morning. The chance remains on the low side. The cold temperatures will be the bigger story as we will dive into the single digits Sunday night with wind chills below zero.
