The cast of Friends will reunite for a two-hour special, USA broadcaster NBC has said.
This was confirmed by NBC yesterday evening at the Television Critics Association’s press tour which was making a stop in Pasadena.
The show which ran for a decade from 1994 to 2004 will be a part of USA network’s tribute to the director James Burrow who shot 1,000 episodes.
Matt LeBlanc, who played Joey, tweeted “Should be a good time!” after the news broke but as of yet there has been no word from Jennifer Aniston, Courteney Cox, Lisa Kudrow and David Schwimmer. Although all six of the main cast members will be present on the show in one way or another, they may not show up together due to scheduling conflicts.
He recently directed his 1000th episode of television, NBC’s midseason comedy ‘Crowded’.
Cast members from the many shows James Burrows has directed – such as Will and Grace, Cheers, Frasier and Mike and Molly – will also be appearing in the tribute.
“Will and Grace” star Sean Hayes will be producing the special and the cast of the programme will also pay their own tributes to the director. This time, they are true – but there is a bit of a twist. News in 2015 that fans “have to let it go”.
