Friends cast to reunite for TV special
Greenblatt made the announcement in Pasadena yesterday at the Television Critics Association press tour. “But I’m not sure we can logistically pull that off”. However, the cast members – Matthew Perry, Jennifer Aniston, Courtney Cox, Lisa Kudrow, Matt LeBlanc, and David Schwimmer have appeared in other projects for each other. TVLine.com reported that Burrows recently reached his 1,000-episode mark when he directed an episode of NBC’s midseason comedy “Crowded” in November.

Perry has written and will star in the play The End of Longing… which is set to run in London’s West End from 2 February until 14 May.
In the past, the cast has spoken about how unlikely a “Friends” reunion featuring all six main cast members would be, due to their busy schedules.
Friends came to an end in 2004, 10 series and a decade after it first premiered in America. “I shouldn’t go into detail”, entertainment chief Bob Greenblatt said in response to a question about whether there really will be a reunion of Friends castmates during the special. It’s not the reunion everyone is hoping for – they are celebrating Jim Burrows who was a director of Friends.
Will and Grace star Sean Hayes will be producing the special and the cast of the programme will also pay their own tributes to the director. The cast of numerous shows he shot are also expected to participate in the TV special.

The episode will air on NBC on 21 February in the US, but it’s still uncertain when and how it’ll reach British shores.
