Eva Longoria has surprised shoppers at Victoria Beckham‘s London store by swapping the TV cameras for the till. She’s an fantastic woman, an unbelievable mum, an wonderful business woman and an incredible wife and she’s really amusing, ‘ gushed the United States star.
“We had met because our husbands were both sports people back in the day and we just remained very close friends”, she revealed to Ruth Langsford and Coleen Nolan. “I went from an NHS gown to one of Victoria’s gowns”, she said.
The Desperate Housewives star has always maintained that their relationship is close; in 2012 she said: “When we hang out, we just stay home and talk, eat and laugh”.
Speaking about her involvement with the charity, Eva said: “My older sister was mentally disabled and when you see something like that first hand, you become selfless”.
Singer-turned-fashion-designer Victoria watched on as courageous Katie shared the story of how she was attacked with acid – and thanked Victoria for “bringing light into her life” with one of her dresses after she came out of hospital.
Victoria looked stunning in a plunging black dress, which displayed a glimpse of cleavage, as she hit the red carper with Eva at Monday night’s event. “And so I put my glasses on”.
Earlier in the evening, her BFF shared a similar photo of the duo being pampered together, writing: “Getting ready for the Global Gift Gala!” “You should have seen me yesterday!”
When David Beckham signed a deal with soccer team LA Galaxy in 2007, Victoria set up shop Stateside and immediately formed a close knit group of Hollywood friends, including Eva. The actress also had the honour of presenting Katie Piper with the Global Gift Humanitarian Award, in a bid to acknowledge The Katie Piper Foundation.
