From Afar, Trump Basks in DNC Chaos
It is quite conceivable that many of those countries will quietly turn against the economic, financial, social and military order that the USA has lead mostly through compromise since the 1950s.

“Ask me to take a look at the polls a week into August”.
I humbly supplicate to the collective wisdom of my betters.
But with all due respect, I am blowing them off this time. He was the last of the 17 candidates I wanted to see win my party’s nomination. “I get treated by the vets, and sometimes it’s 90 days”. That does not soothe me because the public opinion and voter behavior orthodoxy this year has been as worthless as convention polls are supposed to be.
I watched Donald Trump on Fox afterward, claiming numerous disaffected Bernie supporters will come over to his side.
Some Democrats can’t believe they are in a close race. He is now essentially tied with Clinton in national polls, he has considerable cross-appeal to moderates and even Democrats, and new information continues to break about Clinton’s Servergate scandal, her Clinton Foundation and just this past week the DNC email scandal broke.
Political analyst Nate Silver, who correctly forecast the 2012 presidential election, now gives Clinton a 53.2 percent chance of winning and Trump a 46.8 percent chance. It’s nothing more than a blurry snapshot but it’s one the Dems do not want in the album.
After the Democratic convention wraps up on Thursday, Clinton and Tim Kaine are scheduled to begin a bus tour throughout OH and Pennsylvania. In fact, many politics watchers today feel Kennedy and the Democrats of that era would be shocked and dismayed by today’s precariously left-leaning party. “Wishing and hoping won’t defeat him in this political climate”.
The NBC News/SurveyMonkey tracking poll shows Donald Trump getting no real post-convention bounce: he still trails Hillary Clinton in the poll, 46% to 45%, which is where the race stood before the Republican convention.
Eight years ago, when she was considered the sure-thing Democratic nominee against a little-known Sen.
I’m not implying that the Clinton campaign is at risk of complacency. But lots of liberals, city folk, young people and basic smarty-pants are complacent and smug. He has weakened our standing in the world by threatening to walk away from our friends and our allies, and by encouraging more countries to get nuclear weapons.
The coronation festival that was supposed to be the Democratic National Convention was headed into choppy water, as DNC Chair Debbie Wasserman Schultz announced her resignation after embarrassing emails were released showing collusion and favoritism toward Hillary Clinton’s campaign.
Back in 1779, Major General Benedict Arnold, a hero of the American Revolution who felt he had been unjustly passed over for advancement by the Continental Congress, chose to sell plans to the British of the Continental Army’s fort at West Point, New York – which guarded the strategic Hudson River waterway. There better be, to protect democracy!
Well, “unity” was a common platitude last week. On the other side of the aisle, the voters who supported Trump’s rivals are all relatively homogeneous, and Trump won’t have much trouble winning them over.

Exactly what “knowing” means in the epistemological swamp of Campaign 2016, however, is above my pay grade.
