Front-runner Trump to skip key Republican debate
On her show Tuesday night, Megyn Kelly interviewed Oscar-nominated left-wing documentarian Michael Moore, but rather than promote his latest movie, the impish provocateur seemed to want to discuss nothing so much as her ongoing feud with Donald Trump, and what he characterized as the “crisis” she had created at Fox News.

Will Fox News roll over for Trump, removing Kelly from the moderating team or promising that she won’t be “unfair” to the GOP front-runner?
Kelly challenged Trump during Fox’s first debate back in August and will be back in one of the moderator chairs on Thursday.
The stage is set for Thursday’s Fox News Channel’s final debate ahead of the Iowa caucuses – but front-runner Donald Trump may not be there.
Mr. Trump’s absence would leave the main debate stage without the candidate who leads in national polls and has been a big ratings draw for past debates. Ted Cruz, is challenging him to a one-on-one debate, saying he and the billionaire can go at it “mano a mano” if they can’t agree on a moderator.
“This takes guts, and is the kind mentality our country needs in order to Make America Great Again”, Trump’s campaign charged in a statement that cited his campaign slogan and confirmed the finality of his decision. He says Kelly is a third-rate reporter who is bad at her job and shouldn’t be allowed to participate.
“Fox News is making tens of millions of dollars on debates and setting record ratings (the highest in history), where as in previous years they were low-rated afterthoughts”, the campaign said in a statement. The presidential candidate has been threatening to skip Thursday’s Fox News Debate for at least a day now.
Many people wore them underneath sweaters and other shirts to get into the event.
“I don’t think she’s professional at all”, Trump told ABC’s George Stephanopoulos of Kelly.
Megyn Kelly: Would you move on from the Trump situation?
Instead of attending the debate, “We’ll have an event here in Iowa, with potentially another network, to raise money for wounded warriors”, campaign manager Corey Lewandowski said. A Twitter poll he put up asking whether he should participate in the Fox debates showed overwhelmingly, as of 8:20 p.m. EST, that respondents wanted him there.
Following criticism that the Democratic Party had limited debates to help Clinton, New Hampshire’s largest newspaper and MSNBC said Tuesday they would host an additional debate next week just before the first-in-the-nation primary. “So Donald Trump can’t handle tough questions from Megyn Kelly, but he’ll be able to handle Hillary Clinton”.

The race among Democrats was no more settled six days from the leadoff Iowa caucuses, with Sanders and Hillary Clinton locked in a close contest and details about their debate plans unclear.
