Updates will be provided as they become available.
Details from law enforcement are scarce, as the police report obtained by the Democrat is heavily redacted; however, it does say that the alleged victim was intoxicated and suffered minor abrasions/bruises from the incident.
The report does not name a suspect.
2017 opener: Alabama and Florida State will open the 2017 season in the Kickoff Classic at Atlanta’s new stadium.
The 21-year-old victim, whose name is being protected, is pressing charges and Cook’s investigation is expected to be very thorough.
Cook is coming off a big season for the Seminoles, as he rushed for 1,008 yards and eight touchdowns as a freshman in 2014. He was a five-star recruit and the No. 18 recruit in the class of 2014 according to Rivals. He was dismissed from the team Monday after the state released video of the altercation.

He is now facing a misdemeanor battery charge for the physical altercation. The case involved two men who allegedly brandished a firearm to a neighbor.
