Stange pleaded guilty to an armed bank robbery in 2006 and sentenced to more than nine years in prison. Officers from the US Marshal Pacific Northwest Violent Offender Task Force found out the filming location from a permit and went down to find their man.
Stange was photographed in an extensive piece about the movie in the local newspaper, the Olympian, and was clearly shown looking amiable and relaxed in seven separate shots.
Officers swooped on the fugitive, but allowed him to return his costume before taking him into custody, he added. Stange, who is credited under the stage name Jason odd on the movie’s IMDb page, was stopped by the authorities after leaving the set to buy cigarettes. Film producer Brandon Roberts told the Tacoma News Tribune that Stange “really nailed the audition”. He was well-liked by everyone, and apparently was a really good actor despite not having any acting experience in the past.
Fortunately, Stange had already wrapped his scenes for the film so he’ll still appear in the final version when it arrives sometime next year.
When police discovered Stange in the article, they travelled to Olympia and arrested him at a restaurant near set. A federal probation violation warrant was issued in July 2014 after Stange walked away from a halfway house in the Spokane area, said Kayla Celaya of the U.S. Marshals Service in Washington’s Western District.

Marla Mae is expected to be released in 2016. Stange will remain in the full-length film, Roberts said. The robber-turned-actor was playing the role of Dr. Lourdes, a demented Planned Parenthood physician, according to the film’s site.
