“Fuller House” is now on Netflix

There will likely be jokes regarding the Olsen twins’ absence on Fuller House, but there was one joke that won’t make the Netflix series.

“Stephanie is still kind of fun and wild and edgy and hasn’t lost her really sharp wit and comedic timing, so she’s a lot of fun to play all these years later”, Sweetin said. Middle sis Stephanie (Jodie Sweetin), best friend Kimmy Gibbler (Andrea Barber), and Kimmy’s daughter, Ramona (Soni Nicole Bringas), decide to move in with DJ at their gorgeous childhood San Francisco home to help out.

The new Fuller House is overseen by the original’s creator, Jeff Franklin, and he is wise to have stuck to the original’s mood. This is something that would have never made it to network television on a family show in the 90’s.

One of the biggest jokes within the first five minutes comes at the Olsen twins’ expense as the duo’s Michelle character is noticeably absent from the show’s return. I think one of the things that I really like about Fuller House is, we always acknowledge who we are and what it is and what the legacy is, and we never take ourselves too seriously.

Sweetin echoed Cameron Bure’s sentiments. During the 13 episodes, there are multiple callbacks to those who watched every single episode ever of Full House – like me. From beginning to end, you’ll want to catch every familiar heart-twinging flashback that will take you sweetly into the family’s past on the original Full House before bringing you right back into their modern day Fuller House lives.

Fuller House is “sugary garbage that might drive you to madness if you watch enough of it”, says Tim Surette at TV.com, although he is among several critics to point out that the show at least honours its predecessor incredibly well. And it was for the first two weeks until I finally got settled in.

Also set to reprise their roles from the beloved original program are John Stamos, Bob Saget, Dave Coulier and Lori Loughlin.

The critical poo-pooing hasn’t stopped the Full House fan base from building up excitement for Fuller House, though. I’ve grown, but they are forced to stay the same. “I didn’t hesitate at all because I loved “Full House” so much and I love Kimmy Gibbler and I love my castmates so much”, she says. We learn that Danny and Rebecca are moving to LA to host their new morning showWake Up USA, Jesse is also moving to LA to become a music producer, and Joey is killing it in Vegas with his stand up. And Danny replies: “Well, Michelle sends her love but she’s busy in NY running her fashion empire”.
