Funeral set for teenage girl found slain in Atlanta suburbs

An initial police report has been released in the deaths of two teens found dead behind a Roswell Publix, but it still does not offer many clues into what may have happened to the two.

Roswell police say the teens — 17-year-old Natalie Henderson of Roswell and 17-year-old Carter Davis of Woodstock — suffered severe head trauma.

Roswell police Officer Zachary Frommer told the Atlanta Journal Constitution that police have received several leads in the deaths of Natalie A. Henderson, of Roswell, and Carter J. Davis, of Woodstock, both 17. However there were other factors that helped in their efforts.

Police have not named a suspect as they continue their investigation.

While investigators are unsure of the motive, “we believe he acted alone”, the chief said.

Officers located Hazelwood at a gas station not far from the crime scene, and brought him to police headquarters for questioning around 5 a.m. Wednesday, Grant said.

The arrest comes after police searched a home on Gilhams Road in East Cobb County Wednesday. He’s been “generally cooperative” during the interviews with detectives, Frommer said.

“They have been reaching out to their dealers and all of their suppliers trying to find out if a piece was ordered or if anybody has come in for the necessary repairs to the passenger side view mirror”, Ingrassia says.

The police arrested Jeffrey A. Hazelwood Early on Wednesday morning in connection witht he shooting deaths of two teens in Roswell, Georgia. According to local reports, they both attended local high schools.

Authorities in North Carolina say two 12-year-old boys have been charged in connection with the death of a teenage boy found shot behind a church in Winston-Salem. They are looking at surveillance video from the grocery store and hoping to talk to any possible witnesses. He was then arrested, charged and booked into the Roswell Detention Center.

Carter’s principal at River Ridge High School also released a statement calling Carter “an energetic student who was known as a friend to all”.
