Funeral set for woman slain while running in Massachusetts

She had been visiting from New York City, where she worked for Google, her “dream job”, her family said. No arrests have been made in the case.

Runners have gathered to remember a New York City woman who was found dead a week ago after she went for a run near her mother’s MA home.

Marcotte, 27, was killed between 1 p.m. Sunday, when she left her mother’s house on Brooks Station Road in Princeton for a run, and 3 p.m.

Many runners told necn that they didn’t know Marcotte, but wanted to participate for her family, as well as runners in the community.

5 Investigates has learned police are testing DNA samples from at least one possible person of interest in Marcotte’s murder.

Authorities say they’ve received hundreds of tips but don’t have any suspects.

Marcotte will be laid to rest Tuesday morning after a service at Our Lady of the Lake Church in Leominster. Officials believe Marcotte, 27, was murdered while jogging in the woods in Princeton.
