Fury – Start of a new era
TYSON Fury has shocked the boxing world, having defeated Wladimir Klitschko in Germany, to become the new undisputed heavyweight champion.

“There will be a rematch”, the Ukrainian said in a ringside interview.
“I knew all along I could win the fight”, said Fury, whose corner exploded into celebration once the verdict was announced.
“I came here to Germany in the lion’s den to a great, great champion in Wladimir Klitschko and my lord, my saviour, my rock, my foundation, gave me the glory tonight”.
Such is the scale of Fury’s achievement that the WBC belt is the only main title now missing from his collection.
Tyson Fury has been backed to beat Wladimir Klitschko again in their rematch. The self-styled “Gypsy King” had taunted his opponent ahead of the fight and even dressed as Batman at one news conference.
“We’ll see how the cookie crumbles, work it all out and let you all know”. The dominant Ukrainian is facing questions from some quarters as to how long he can continue at the very top level, especially now that he is pushing 40 years old and – for some – showed small signs of decline in April’s clash with American, Bryant Jennings.
One of Fury’s many statements in the build-up was that he would follow in Ali’s historic footsteps – and now, as the world champion, plans to do so. As promised, Fury celebrated his win with a nice rendition of Aerosmith’s “I Don’t want to Miss a Thing” to his wife Paris, worthy of the Voice UK.
How the fight unfolded Fury came charging out of his corner at the sound of the first bell but thereafter it was a cagey first round which the challenger probably won courtesy of a couple of ramrod jabs.
“Now he’s champion he has to behave himself a little bit more because there are a lot of kids and people looking up to him”, Lewis told BBC Radio Five Live’s Sportsweek programme.
Fury dictated the pace from the start meanwhile Klitschko lacked in ideas to threat the agile 27-year-old contender from Manchester in any way.
“I knew all along I could win the fight”.
“There will be a rematch. I had Fury winning so many more rounds, I don’t know why it was so close on the scorecards”, Haye added on Sportsweek.

“I was very anxious waiting for the decision”, he said. “I tried it but it just did not happen”. I want to be a great champion and I want to do it again [against Klitschko].
