FX sets premiere dates for ‘Fargo,’ ‘Bastard Executioner’ and ‘American Horror
FX has made some big announcements regarding four of its shows, including premiere dates for American Horror Story and Fargo, along with a renewal.

FX announced at the Television Critics Association press tour on Friday that the 13-episode fifth installment of the anthology series will premiere at 10 p.m. October 7. Season 1 of “The Bastard Executioner” spans 10 episodes.
Fargo season 2 will be set in 1979 in Sioux Falls, South Dakota and Luverne, Minnesota. The official logline reads “Lou Solverson (Patrick Wilson), a young State Trooper recently back from Vietnam, investigates a case involving a local crime gang, a major Mob syndicate and a small town beautician Peggy Blumquist (Kirsten Dunst) and her husband Ed (Jesse Plemons), the local butcher’s assistant”. The horror-drama stars Lady Gaga, Sarah Paulson, Kathy Bates, Evan Peters, Finn Wittrock, Angela Basset, Wes Bentley and more.
The best series of 2014, FX’s “Fargo“, returns for a new season and new story at 10 p.m. October. 12.
The Bastard Executioner will have a 10 episode arc on Tuesdays at 10 p.m. starting September 15. “We’re excited to see them carry this powerful story into a third season on FX”. Lee Jones will play the title role, with will True Blood star Stephen Moyer acting as his right hand man Milus, Katey Sagal appearing as “Annora of the Alders”, and even native Welshman and The Americans lead Matthew Rhys lands in a guest role.
For those unaware, The Bastard Executioner follows “a warrior knight in King Edward III’s charge who is broken by the ravages of war and vows to lay down his sword”.

Lastly, FXX also picked up Cassius And Clay, a new animated series starring Kaitlin Olson and Lake Bell as the voices of the title characters.
