‘G.I. Joe 3’ delay due to Dwayne Johnson’s busy schedule
G.I. Joe 3 is apparently stuck in production hell because Dwayne Johnson doesn’t have enough time to film it. Joe 3 until Johnson frees up is a good move, as almost every movie he touches ends up bringing in a massive amount of money at the box office.

Johnson first joined the series with G.I.
G.I. Joe franchise star Byung-hun Lee (who plays Storm Shadow) was attending the Toronto International Film Festival for the premiere of The Magnificent Seven and LRM (via ScreenRant) sat down with the actor for an interview where discussion turned to the status of G.I.
“They’re arranging the schedules for the actors, especially Dwayne Johnson“, he continued.
The new entry in the series would continue to follow the adventures of Johnson’s character Roadblock, but the actor’s extremely busy schedule is reportedly stopping the studio from pinning down an exact filming and release date.

You can hardly blame the guy for being preoccupied. Notwithstanding the press tour he did for Central Intelligence, he’s shot Baywatch, he’s shot Fast & Furious 8, and is just about to start work on the reboot of Jumanji. He’s also joining the DCEU as Black Adam in Shazam. “There are phenomenal G.I. Joecharacters who we can bring to life, we’re all talking about it now, and certainly [thinking about] using the 3D platform in even better ways for the next one, so, I’m very excited about that”, Johnson told Collider in 2013. That might guarantee a profit, but that certainly doesn’t mean American audiences are going to care about it. M Chu. The filmmaker has since decided not to film a third movie with director D.J. Honestly, that might be a blessing in disguise.
