The controversies reflect the way global politics is now a stew of many competing, rising or resurgent powers that see fewer reasons to simply fall into line behind the United States than was the case following World War II and the Cold War.

Obama says the United States and Russian Federation are working to try to finalize a ceasefire in Syria that would allow more deliveries of humanitarian aid.

Speaking at a news conference in China, Obama said there are some significant sticking points in the negotiations over creating a us and Russian military partnership that would focus firepower on “common enemies” in Syria.

The author called for reconsidering the formation structure of the G20, noting that “among the basic motivations for the establishment of the group was to provide a greater chance for fair representation of rising powers and markets in administrating the issues of world economy”. Obama used an alternative exit, but quarrels broke out on the tarmac and at other venues over access by USA officials and the traveling press.

The US leader, who is attending his 10th and final G20, said this year’s summit came in turbulent times where a lot of countries were seeing “volatile politics”.

“The one thing that we have to ensure we do is to move in concert with other countries, because there is always a danger that if one. acts unilaterally, that it’s not just a matter of a USA company being impacted, but it may also have an impact in terms of our ability to collect taxes from that same company”, Obama said.

Asked if China was one of those resisting, she just repeated “in the face of some resistance”.

Prime Minister Theresa May said she wanted Britain to become a global leader in free trade as it exits the European Union.
