If you have the Note 4 on Rogers, manually check for the Marshmallow update by pressing Menu Settings About Device Software Update Update. However, if you are in Europe, but unable to install the update then you will have to wait for few more days since the updates are delivered in a phased manner. These patches often fix big flaws in Android that hackers can exploit to steal data from your device and even take control of it remotely.
Samsung added two new handsets to its Galaxy portfolio – C5 and C7 – on Thursday in China. Thus, the rollout of the update for all the users of the device is imminent. As Sprint and T-Mobile have already released the update for their users so other network carriers should also complete their testing and development phase promptly and release the update soon. The company hasn’t announced the Android 6.0.1 Marshmallow release date for the Galaxy J and Galaxy A series of devices. Released in April together with the Galaxy J7, the J5 has a 5.2-inch screen with a Super AMOLED display, which means that users will enjoy crisp and clear graphics.
It has not been disclosed whether the devices will be available outside of China but the FCC has been sent to the USA to get certified so it appears that Samsung are exploring the possibility of selling the device overseas. However, a customer who declined to reveal the identity disclosed to us that he is a Koodo client and have an unlocked Eastlink model just downloading the update.
