Galaxy Note 7 fires in China not caused by batteries
The video pits the iPhone 7 against Samsung’s Galaxy Note 7 to see which of the two phones is the fastest when it comes to running various apps and games.

“It was reported that a Samsung Galaxy Note 7 was in the vehicle at the time of the fire and there were allegations that it may have been the cause”, the report quoted St. Petersburg Fire Rescue as saying.
The family of the vehicle reportedly blamed the Note 7 for the auto fire as Samsung is recalling the latest smartphone over a faulty battery.
The world’s largest smartphone maker said it will soon run an advertisement in major media outlets to offer an apology for causing discomfort and concern to its customers due to faulty batteries in some Note 7 smartphones. In South Korea, mobile carriers said Note 7 owners can begin exchanging their phones starting Monday, but there were few people doing so at a Samsung service center.
Samsung had recently announced that it will issue an update that will limit the battery of all Galaxy Note 7s sold worldwide to 60 per cent recharge cycle.
The UK is one of the first countries to receive new shipments of Note 7 devices. The fires were traced to a battery problem believed to affect 0.1% of the 2.5 million phones sold worldwide since August.
Recalled Note 7 devices will still show a white battery indicator, making it easy for users and customer support representatives to identify if a device should be replaced.
“This will make it hard to make it back to the top”, Peng said. Monday is the deadline for consumers in South Korea to get a full refund. Moreover, Samsung has also requested users to stop using the Note 7 and submit the smartphone for replacement.
Samsung is recalling 1,858 Note 7 phones in China, according to a notice dated Wednesday last week from the country’s product quality agency.
Amperex Technology Limited (ATL), a company that makes batteries said that its joint investigation with Samsung revealed the incident was not a direct effect of a battery made by the makers.
