It is utterly ironic that the Galaxy S7 Active, a smartphone that is advertised to be the utmost in survivability, isn’t as immune to water as Samsung would have us believe.

Samsung has now released a new statement to the publication, admitting there was a fault in one of its parts that lead to the failure of the Galaxy S7 Active after water tests.

This information actually came from famous Russian tipster Eldar Murtazin who posted a tweet saying that the device will be unveiled on the first day of September.

Another cool feature brought by the Android 6.0.1 Marshmallow update is Doze, which is basically meant to provide a longer battery life. But since this is not confirmed by Samsung, it’s best to take this detail with a pinch of salt. Since Murtazin didn’t mention his source, fans should also hold off on their excitement. Samsung’s TouchWiz UI has been given a slight tweak and looks less cluttered than before.

As for the specs, it was rumored that the tablet may come in two variants – one with a 9.7-inch display and the other with an 8-inch screen size. Google’s new operating system is now in beta testing.

Speculation until last month suggested Note 7 would launch with Snapdragon 823 (a chipset about which very little is known). Even from a security point-of-view (heh), the Iris Scanner does not seem to have any overtly obvious benefits over the fingerprint scanner, both of which lose out to conventional password-based solutions for security. There had not been any noise made by the tab S3 as few people have given their speculations, which may indicate a release this year have not been expected.
