The good news is Samsung is now looking for testers who are supposed to offer their feedback on Android 6.0 Marshmallow builds the South Korean company will make available to them in the coming weeks.
The Galaxy note was the first device to get the Android Marshmallow update, and it seems that it will be followed by the Galaxy Note 5, the Note Edge, the Galaxy Note 4, Note 4 Duos, the Galaxy S6, S6 Edged, S6 Edge Plus, the S6 Edge Duos and the Galaxy S5, S5 NEO and S5 LTE-A in the first quarter of the next year. All of them are CyanogenMod 13 (Android 6.0), and they’re all available for download and flashing right now. It is run by a 1.4GHz quad-core CPU coupled with 1GB of RAM.
The Galaxy S3 sports a 4.8-inch display with a 720p resolution (720×1280 pixels) protected with Gorilla Glass.
A new Stagefright 2.0 bug has also been spotted by the security researchers, and this time it is using the MP3 or MP4 files to target the victim.
Meanwhile, the document also lists another batch of Samsung Galaxy smartphones and tablets getting the Android M update in the second quarter next year. The handset was originally shipped with Android 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich installed.
Google has now officially announced the availability of Android 6.0 Marshmallow OS and its availability on Nexus devices. Instead, the handset has received its share of Marshmallow through CyanogenMod 13. But apparently it was only a few days ago when the company introduced the Android 5.1.1 update for some of its flagship smartphones. Users may need to have a certain level of knowledge on how to flash custom ROMs before proceeding to install it on their Galaxy S3 units.
The CM 13 is a custom ROM nightly build which means it is not a stable.

CyanogenMod started life as a “fork” of Google’s open source Android, and includes a number of features that Google’s version doesn’t.
