‘Game of Thrones’ author hangs out at Jets camps
George R.R. Martin, who wrote the series of books that spawned the popular HBO series “A Game of Thrones“, took a break from science fiction Wednesday to visit the real world of an NFL training camp.

Martin small talked with players, fans and Jets officials, some of whom pestered him about the fates of Arya Stark, Jon Snow and the rest of the “Game of Thrones” cast.
He also sat down with D’Brickashaw Ferguson for a quick interview.
“I am an enormous fan of Mr. Martin as a author and I love the collection, so it was a pleasure to spend the afternoon with him and his spouse”, Maccagnan stated in a press release issued by the staff. “It was nice to speak Jets historical past with them and listen to how intently they’ve all the time adopted the staff”.
Martin is the author of the “A Song of Ice and Fire” epic fantasy novels that were adapted by HBO for its Emmy-winning dramatic series “Game of Thrones”. The books and series are known for the gruesome deaths major characters usually suffer.
Martin is on a bit of a sports kick at the moment, planning to attend the Staten Island Yankees minor league baseball game Saturday night as well. This could mean that Martin managed to finish writing “The Winds of Winter” and the draft already found its way to the publishers for printing.
The site also mentioned the speculations swirling online that “Winds” could possibly drop on every bookstore this year due to Martin’s statement on his blog just recently. Martin, though, has an easier solution that didn’t involve poison or betrayal.
“And while I will be travelling, my army on minions will be here at the old homestead, toiling in the paper mines”, the author said.
