‘Game Of Thrones’ Season 7 Delayed To Summer 2017
In addition to the late premier, Game Of Thrones’ next season will be the shortest one yet.

This matches the plans “Thrones” co-creators D.B. Weiss and David Benioff had publicly discussed before, with the duo stating previously that they were set for a seven-episode seventh season and a six-episode eighth season.
This has now been confirmed, with production taking place in Northern Ireland later this summer, with additional portions shot in Spain and Iceland, ahead of a summer 2017 premiere. “Instead of the show’s traditional spring debut, we’re moving to summer to accommodate the shooting schedule”.
Game of Thrones, showered with 23 Emmy nominations last week, is the most watched HBO series on record, according to the network.
Season seven of Game of Thrones will now air during the Summer of 2017 and will consist of just seven episodes.
As the series approaches its end, stars Peter Dinklage (Tyrion Lannister), Kit Harington (Jon Snow), Lena Headey (Cersei Lannister), Emilia Clarke (Daenerys Targaryen) and Nikolaj Coster-Waldau (Jaime Lannister) have scored significant pay rises.
Fans are now wondering how a seven-episode season could tell what will happen with all the characters in the show not to mention all the plot twists and surprises. But that’s not even the worst of it. HBO also revealed that we’re only going to get seven episodes next season, instead of the usual 10.
Tours are offered to some of the Game of Thrones filming locations.
Season 6 was the first season of Game of Thrones that passed George R.R. Martin’s A Song of Ice and Fire source material. Traditionally the show has aired on HBO beginning in March or April.
We don’t yet know the names of any of the Game of Thrones Season 7 episodes or what they include.

The season 7 directors will include Mark Mylod, Jeremy Podeswa, Matt Shakman and Alan Taylor. The author is now in the process of releasing his sixth book The Winds of Winter.
