Game of Thrones will last two more seasons
The programming president of the network, Casey Bloys, finally confirmed HBO’s willingness to go along with “Game of Thrones” showrunners David Bennioff and Dan Weiss’ plans to end the series at its eight season. “I can’t believe we’re gonna know how “Game of Thrones” ends in less than two years”, another wrote.

Earlier this month, Game Of Thrones picked up 23 Emmy nominations, the most of any show recognised with a nod.
“Yes, [Weiss and Benioff] have a very specific plan about the number of seasons they want to do”, Bloys said in remarks transcribed by Entertainment Weekly.
Bloys also said he hasn’t ruled out the possibility of a “Thrones” spin-off, The Hollywood Reporter said. As the new executive in the company, he said that if he could get ten more seasons of the show he would take it.

I’m not sure the guys can wrap their heads around it when they are about to start production.
“[Awards] are not our main goal”. The main goal is to do the best show for our subscribers and fans….
SPOILER WARNING! Join us to discuss that awesome Game of Thrones finale with GLAMOUR’s resident megafans: Editor-in-Chief Jo Elvin, and Associate Editor James Williams. The show had set a new record after bagging a total of 12 awards past year. The seven-episode drama will be based in Northern Ireland with portions filming in Spain and Iceland.

The seventh season of Game of Thrones will feature only seven episodes and they will be aired during the summer of 2017, and not in spring as happened for the previous seasons.
