‘Game of Thrones’ won’t get prequel spin-off

“I do have thousands of pages of fake history of everything that led up to ‘Game of Thrones, ‘ so there’s a lot of material there and I’m writing more”, Martin told Deadline backstage at the Emmys on Sunday.

In fact, some critics have been warning Martin for quite a while that this is where he might be headed, and the author should definitely consider picking up the pace on the new book and getting it done in a reasonable timeframe if he doesn’t want to face some serious backlash from his fans.

Actor Jim Broadbent, who bagged an Academy Award for Best Supporting Actor for the movie ‘Iris, ‘ has signed on for a “significant” role in the next season of ‘Game of Thrones’. Some fans who were following both the books and the TV show were disappointed by the way the release schedules worked out for the last season, but at least they got to see some important plot developments without having to wait for the book.

It is said that creativity is a cruel mistress, and perhaps that is why George R.R. Martin is taking so long to compose his masterpiece “Winds of Winter”.

“This has caused fans to further speculate that Whelan may have sustained injuries due to their filming for a battle scene for “Game of Thrones” season 7, although this is yet to be confirmed”.

Both the TV show and the novel series haven’t ended yet. Another thing to look forward to, if this ever materialized in the small screen, is the moment Aemon advised his younger brother to “Kill the boy” the same way he did to Jon Snow.

Season 7 is expected to be the penultimate installment for the award-winning series and will make its premiere in summer 2017. Would you be happy with a “Game Of Thrones” prequel after “GoT” S8 reveals the final truths about Iron Throne favorites Tyrion Lannister, Daenerys Targaryen and Jon Snow? A possible spin-off of the show can take place when the Targaryens were still in power – or better yet, it could be during the time when the first Targaryens conquered the dragons and ruled over the seven kingdoms.

The audiences then, would have a glimpse of “Fire and Blood” and realize that the tagline befits their house.

Happy Birthday George! Today the author of the world famous saga of Thrones / A Song of Ice and Fire celebrates 68 years and we propose to learn a little more about it! I’m sure there will be other series set in Westeros. So time will tell if either of Martin’s ideas finds some legs.
