Gamecocks headed to Baton Rouge

The Tigers have been on a roll as of late. Had we played the whole game like that, we might have had a different result.

The only way the game comes to Shreveport is if the city can make the move make financial sense for the Gamecocks to travel this far.

Coming into this Week 6 game, the Gamecocks are in a unsafe position.

Saturday’s game had to be moved from Columbia, South Carolina to Baton Rouge because of the serious flooding.

Start Time: 2:30 p.m.

Happy to see LSU pulling out all the stops. “They’ve got 12-13 guys in the interior defensive line that play a lot of football”. As Leonard Fournette’s rushing legend grows, so will the defensive attention. No matter what schemes and plays opposing teams have thrown at him, he is able to keep gashing defenses.

Perhaps it is only fitting that LSU plays the role of gracious host to its counterparts from South Carolina. There’s constant dialogue. The availability of first responders now being used in flood relief, the condition of area roadways, and the availability of potable water at the stadium were all issues USC was weighing as it considered whether to play at home Saturday or move the game. Tickets will need to be printed by the buyer, then scanned at the gates.

Wess Helton, Lexington, South Carolina native and freshman global studies major, has been receiving pictures and videos of the damage and flooding from friends in his hometown and at the University of South Carolina. The reasoning behind this is, Harris and LSU have not been in a situation where he has to save his team. Other tourist correlated words are being worked on for many years.

All proceeds generated from ticket sales, minus the expenses that LSU incurs for hosting the game, will be given to the USC Athletics Department.

Both LSU and its players know of tragedy caused by natural disasters, and perhaps that’s why the university was so quick to offer a hand in making this South Carolina “home game” as seamless a transition as possible. The Tigers have an awesome wealth of talent, and Fournette is an early Heisman candidate.

The Tigers have featured one of the SEC’s most prolific attacks this fall while scoring 27 goals to this point of the season while already surpassing their total of 26 goals scored in 20 matches a season ago.
