What came as a totally odd – yet awesome – surprise yesterday was the announcement of Ori and the Blind Forest: Definitive Edition. Critics loved the game, as did players, and now Thomas Mahler from developer Moon Studios has confirmed that an expansion is in the making.

Ori and the Blind Forest: Definitive Edition is due out this fall.

This mean the Definitive Edition will contain “a lot” of new content such as extra areas to explore along with new mechanics, abilities and artwork.

Not much more was said than that, but this seems the way to experience this game.

Microsoft’s Larry Hryb, better known as Major Nelson, announced on Twitter that the expansion content is coming to Windows 10 and Xbox One “later this year”.
