Garcia, Thompson tied for lead at Honda Classic
PGA Tour golfer Jason Bohn, a former golfer at the University of Alabama, suffered a mild heart attack after the second round of the Honda Classic, per the Associated Press and other reports.

In some respects, it was identical to Fowler’s opening round – no bogeys, another 66 in windy conditions and a big par save on his 10th hole.
Fowler was at 8-under 132, one shot ahead of Walker, who finished his round of 66 with a 25-foot birdie on the 17th and a 40-foot eagle putt on No. 18.
Bohn, whose most recent PGA Tour win came at the 2010 New Orleans Classic, missed the cut at the Honda Classic after carding scores of 71 and 72.
Garcia, who described his own play as “terrible” after missing the cut in the Northern Trust Open last week, was pleased with his 69 that could easily have been one better after finishing millimetres away from a hole-in-one on the seventh. “I hit a great drive down there and had 215 [yards] to the front, 243 to the flag and wind howling out of the left, ” Lowry said.
” I got a nice break on one to continue that (bogey-free run) but kept myself in it with some good up and downs, made some good putts and it was a little bit of a bonus with a birdie on the last”, the world number five told PGA Tour Radio.
“The greens were soft and receptive and that made the course playable”, said Mickelson.
That included the loudest cheer of the day on the par-3 17th, where Alex Cejka made a hole-in-one.
“I was just happy to shoot under par out there, it’s so tough”. Having started on the back nine, Fowler worked himself out of his toughest spot well right of the fairway and managed to get up-and-down for par to keep some momentum.
With two holes to play, Walker knew he had ground to make up on Fowler when he heard cheers coming from the 18th green.
Of his round, Garcia added, “I felt like it was solid”.
“Pretty good accomplishment”, he said. “I’ve got a long way to go so hopefully I can get a good night’s sleep tonight and get out there tomorrow afternoon and do something”. Even though he lost the late lead in Phoenix and missed the cut at Torrey Pines, Fowler has been quietly moving into the conversation of the elite players this year. But after finishing play Friday, Bohn complained of chest pains and went to see the tour’s on-site medical staff. He was taken by ambulance to Palm Beach Gardens Medical Center, where according to the tour, tests revealed a mild heart attack. McIlroy is the highest-ranked player in the field this week. “The wind was not as much as yesterday but it was still challenging”, Garcia said.

He’d played brilliantly early on and reeled off a hat-trick of birdies from the fourth with a brace of five-irons to less than three feet both the fifth and sixth, two of the most spectacular shots you could wish to see.
