Hours after he teed off on reporters wanting to know if Yoenis Cespedes’ trips to the golf course resulted in an injury, New York Mets manager Terry Collins watched his newest bat drive a ball almost 400 feet.

“The golf is bad optics, let’s just start there”, Mets General Manager Sandy Alderson said prior to Thursday’s Subway Series finale. On the one hand, it might be hard to match what we did a year ago. On the other hand, at least with respect to the wild card, we don’t have to match it. We can’t win one game and lose two, win one, lose two, win two, lose one.
