Gareth Bale: ‘I’m ready to go’ – Wales star

Paul Bodin struck the bar with a penalty against Romania in the final qualification game for the 1994 World Cup finals and a decade later Mark Hughes’ side lost to Russian Federation in a play-off for a place at Euro 2004.

The game will kick off on Saturday, October 10 at 7.45pm at Stadion Bilino Polje, Zenica.

Edwards is happy to be back ahead of schedule after a recent knee injury and he’s relishing the chance to be a part of history as Wales look to qualify for a major tournament for the first time since 1958. Gareth Bale and co. are mere inches away from one hell of a party.

Mehmed Bazdarevic’s team will be hoping that Israel slip up in their remaining two fixtures, leaving Bosnia to move above them by climbing what now stands as a two-point gap between the two sides. Coleman could quite easily hold Bale back for Andorra, but it appears he is not planning that way.

The former Tottenham star, who was voted Welsh player of the year for a record fifth time on Monday, has been the key figure in his country’s surprise push to reach Euro 2016, scoring six of Wales’ nine goals and setting up two.

The playoffs are still possible for Bosnia, but whatever happens at the weekend they will still be heavily reliant on Eli Guttman’s men stumbling in the coming days. “We’ve put ourselves in a situation where we’re one point away from qualifying, so we’ve given ourselves every opportunity”. We have to see where we can improve again.

“Gareth is here, he’s fit and he’s done the same as everybody else”, Gunter said. “People will be looking at the rugby boys as well, so that takes a little bit of the pressure off us”.

However, with that incentive comes massive pressure and if their rivals take an early lead in Kazakhstan, any desperate lunge at the hosts may see them opened up on the break.

“It just shows how galvanised they were in the face of adversity”.

“They have dug in deep and it made us all very proud”. Hopefully it’s come full circle and we can now do it.

“We hope he will be ready for the match”.

“It could be something very special for the nation and to be involved in that is something I’m immensely proud of”. We aren’t the biggest nation but we’ve probably underachieved.

Still only 26 years old, he’s been told by Wales boss Coleman that he and other players in this squad should aim to end their careers by getting more than 100 caps.

“So it’s nice to be involved in the right sort of scenarios towards the end of the group”.

“We’ve been together for a long time and we’re such a close-knit group”, Bale said. Further details can be found here. But you can perhaps check the official ticketing hub just in case that changes.
