Gareth Bale Turned Down The Chance To Play For England
Wales will be heading to their first major tournament in 58-years at the European Championships, and there will be no inferiority complex from the Wales players, especially with their fans backing them to the hilt.

Paul Pomroy, McDonald’s UK CEO says: “McDonald’s has supported grassroots football clubs for over 13 years and we are extremely proud of what we have achieved in that time”.
Bale, who scored seven goals in qualifying, feels his best position is centrally and admits Wales will “need a bit of luck” next summer in France.
“Playing for your country should be the best part of being a footballer for every player. So we are actually the first team that have 100 per cent done it. And I take a lot of pride in that”. Welsh football is on the up and who better to inspire the next generation than one of their greatest ever players. We used to just watching them set off and get on with it. So it is great to have a chance to be there as well.
In seeing off Andorra, Wales kept their seventh clean sheet of a competition which has seen them concede only four times and just once in open play.
Bale, who made his debut for Wales in 2006 and was on target in Tuesday’s 2-0 win over Andorra at a rocking Cardiff City Stadium, said: “It was never an option”.
“My grandmother’s English but I’m Welsh and I would never want it to happen”. Many of these boys have been together for the last eight or nine years and we know each other like brothers. I came off with cramp (against Belgium) and I don’t think you should do that. “We fight for each other and to have that team spirit is really special”.
He said: “When I changed the captaincy, it could have gone horribly wrong”.
The result had no effect on whether Wales would be heading to France next summer or not, their qualification was confirmed after a defeat away to Bosnia just days before – Israel’s defeat to Cyprus a result that book their place in Euro 2016. “We turned it around and it shows that if you stick with a manager, even after a few bad results, it works out better in the long term”.
“Apparently we’re going to be in a tough group in France”, Coleman said. I can go wide, I can go either side, I can drop deep, I can go further up.
