Gary Kubiak downplays importance of Peyton Manning workout
He’s making progress in his recovery from a torn plantar fascia, but QB Brock Osweiler will get another start this weekend against the Steelers, the Broncos announced Wednesday.

Darian Stewart, who was inactive at Pittsburgh because of a hamstring injury and who did not practice earlier in the week, returned to the field Saturday, as expected.
Ever since he took over for Manning in the third quarter against Kansas City on November 15, Osweiler has insisted that this job is still Manning’s and so is this team.
Manning’s health has been a major concern for the Broncos this season and after resuming limited practice last week, he had to miss all of Friday’s practice after suffering a setback physically. He was ruled out against the Steelers.
The Denver Broncos host the Cincinnati Bengals in Week 16 of the National Football League schedule on Monday, December 28 start time at 8:30 PM ET, at Sports Authority Field, Denver, Colo.
Brock Osweiler is going to start for the Denver Broncos on Monday Night Football, but he’s not going to be 100 percent. “… I thought it was a really good week”.
Kubiak says: “I need to shut up”.
Coach Gary Kubiak will have to decide which quarterback he feels gives him the best chance to win heading into the playoffs.
“There is nothing – it’s just, ‘Let’s go”. However, Osweiler completed just seven of 26 passes with an interception in the second half of the game, as they lost 34-27 in Pittsburgh. His future in the game, however, depends heavily on a workout today at the Denver Broncos practice facility.
Osweiler said his shoulder was OK and he could see clearly enough “to find the open receiver”. “He’s doing everything that we ask him to do and he’s doing it because he wants to do it”.
“It doesn’t bother me either way”, Osweiler said.
“It was a workout”, Kubiak said, also confirming that he personally attended the session.

“I haven’t said a thing” to them, Osweiler said. “I’m very confident in my abilities”.
