Gary Kubiak says Peyton Manning had ‘good workout’
Brock Osweiler will remain the starting quarterback for the Denver Broncos against the Cincinnati Bengals on Monday, the team announced.

Ever since he took over for Manning in the third quarter against Kansas City on November 15, Osweiler has insisted that this job is still Manning’s and so is this team.
On the field, though, Manning continues to work himself back into a normal practice routine, and the press are taking notice, upping their Manning-related questions to head coach Gary Kubiak from a lot to a lot. It may be time to fully commit to letting Osweiler take control of the Broncos offense for good, considering Manning may only have one or two decent years left.
Their margin for error is gone, and with the 11-3 Bengals coming to Denver for a Monday night showdown, the Broncos have a hard task in attempting to not only stop their losing streak at two games, but maintain control of their destiny in the AFC West and playoff races.
He has been ruled out for this weekend’s showdown with the Cincinnati Bengals on Monday night and the future remains ominous for the gun-slinger. Ironically, winning this game would increase the chances that he doesn’t play in the postseason with Dalton having an extra week to recover and potentially return.
“I was trying to gut it out and might have slowed down the healing process by doing so”, Mathis said.
“I need to shut up”, Kubiak said, laughing. After handing the New England Patriots their first loss of the season, Osweiler struggled against a mediocre Oakland Raiders team.
Through five National Football League starts, Brock Osweiler has looked like a seasoned veteran – and a wide-eyed rookie.

A first-ever Pro Bowl nod wasn’t all that escaped Broncos defensive end Malik Jackson this week. I have no idea what’s going on with my eye. By beating the Broncos, they’d clinch both the AFC North and a first-round playoff bye. Brock Osweiler is now the Broncos starting quarterback and on a weekly basis, he has earned the starting job. “We’re going to stay focused on the positive and move forward”.
