Gary Pallister backs world record bid for Paul Pogba
Manchester United will launch an attack to sign Chelsea’s Nemanja Matic and Paris Saint-Germain’s Blaise Matuidi if they fail to land their primary summer target Paul Pogba.

But should talks between the two clubs fall apart, Mourinho says he has a couple of other targets who fit the same type of player he wants to become United’s fourth signing of the summer. “I can not tell you”, Mourinho said on the eve of the International Champions Cup match against Borussia Dortmund in Shanghai Friday.
“He was a very talented young player, I played with him and I knew how good he was”, he added.
“But, to be fair, I think he is happy and I am not expecting him to ask to leave”.
Pogba, who quit United on a free transfer in 2012, has agreed terms of £220 000 a week to return to Old Trafford in anticipation of a deal.
The post was later removed, perhaps at the behest of Pogba, Raiola or bosses at Manchester United. “I asked them for four players”.
“I am quite surprised with so many question marks around this guy”, said Mourinho.
Speaking ahead of Man United’s ICC clash with Borussia Dortmund in Shanghai, the Portuguese cheekily revealed that with the three players he had gotten (Ibrahimovic, Mkhitaryan and Bailly), 75% of his transfer business was done.
The Serie A champions reportedly told Manchester United a world-record fee in excess of £100m would be accepted.
“I’m sure on August 31 we’ll have a competitive team in Italy and in Europe”.
“I am confident Mr Woodward will get the player we need to get a good balance”.

‘I just don’t think he is worth £86m, ‘ the ex-England worldwide told Sport Witness. But as I went through it [the recovery process] I knew I was coming back and I’m not looking back, I’m just looking forward now. “I think he’s going to be a very important player for me and no problem for him”.
