Drivers in 45 states saw pump prices drop by double digits over the last month, according to the AAA Fuel Gauge Report.
The auto club says the Washington metro area average for unleaded gas was $2.34 per gallon Sunday, which matched the national average.

That’s also much lower than the national average from a year ago, when motorists were paying $3.42. Prices in the Twin Cities are averaging $2.20.
