Gas Prices Fall to $2 a Gallon
The national average of gas is now $2.01 per gallon.

The last time the national price for a regular gallon dipped below $2 was March 25, 2009. They say the cheaper prices saved Americans more than $100 billion on gas so far this year, equaling about $550.00 per licensed driver.
In the Lower 48, highest average prices for regular gasoline were in LA at $ 2.71 while in Tulsa, Oklahoma, gas prices were at their lowest at $ 1.72 as per Lundberg.
December 21- Average retail gasoline prices in Texas have not moved in the past week, averaging $1.79/g yesterday, according to GasBuddy’s daily survey of 13,114 gas outlets in Texas. Merced continues to have the highest local prices at $2.57 per gallon.
Despite the expected uptick in holiday travel this week, DeHaan says it just doesn’t pose enough of a demand hike to tip the prices in the opposite direction.

In South Carolina, the statewide average Monday afternoon was $1.77, according to GasBuddy.com.
