Tom, who finished sixth in the 20km event as a race walker for Team GB, tweeted an adorable photograph on Instagram of him proposing to his boyfriend on Copacabana beach in Rio de Janeiro on Wednesday.

Dineley then uploaded a photo of the engagement ring.

Bosworth, who came out past year, posted a photo of his proposal on Twitter and Dineley followed up with a peek at the engagement ring.

Tweeting the picture, Tom simply wrote: “He said YES!”

Bosworth told Attitude shortly before he jetted off to Rio that his relationship with Harry had changed his life “completely”, and hinted that marriage could soon be on the cards for the pair.

Bosworthbroke his own British record on Saturday, leading the field for much of the first half of the race but fell short of a medal a few kilometres from the finish.

That moment came August 9th, when Brazilian stadium manager Marjorie Enya walked out onto the rugby field after a loss to Australia and proposed to player Isadora Cerullo.
