Gaya murder case: Rocky’s friend Teni sent to 14-day judicial custody

Authorities in Gaya last week cancelled the arms licenses of Manorama and her husband Bindi Yadav. Her anticipatory bail plea has been deferred and will now be heard on 19 May 2016.

Devi had filed an anticipatory bail in the court on May 13 after an arrest warrant was issued against her over liquor prohibition.

Teni is the third accused in the FIR lodged with Rampur police over Aditya’s murder. Her son Rocky Yadav was arrested from a house in Bodh Gaya for murdering a teenager.

The JDU MLC, whose son Rakesh Ranjan Yadav alias Rocky Yadav is the main accused in the killing a youngster in the Gaya road rage case, had been evading arrest in a case of recovery of liquor bottles from her house in Anugrah Puri Colony on May 11 during a police raid.

Rocky is the son of suspended legislator Manorama Devi.

Gaya: Manorama Devi, the Bihar lawmaker who had gone into hiding after an arrest warrant over a liquor stash found inside her home, surrendered this morning.

With Bihar Chief Minister Nitish Kumar asserting that no guilty will be spared, the police promised to file a charge sheet within a month.

Asked if police were present in the court premises to arrest her before she could surrender, Senior Superintendent of Police, Gaya, Garima Mallik said the suspended legislator surrendered due to intense police pressure.

Eyewitnesses – Sachdeva’s friends who were in the same vehicle as the victim, though – had contradicted this claim and explained how Rocky Yadav had threatened them just because their auto had overtaken his.
