Principal Tom Hutchinson said: “As ever, our community of students and teachers has worked hard to gain this set of results and our students should be very proud of their achievements”.
Many pupils commented on how their Maths results exceeded their expectations something echoed by Natasha, who collected her GCSE results today, “when you actively go above expectations: Wow!”
“To beat our previous year’s results which were themselves record breaking for the school and put us in the top 15 co-ed boarding schools in the country is extremely good news”.
“I would like to publicly thank all the staff for their hard work and determination in ensuring the best outcomes for all pupils and the parents/carers for their unwavering support”.
“Colleagues deserve credit for their continued effort and commitment to giving our students the best possible opportunities in life and that includes their GCSE results”.
The overwhelming majority of boys will be remaining at the school to study A-levels.
Headteacher Paul Marsh said: “Our GCSE results this year were broadly in line with prediction, and we’re pleased to see many students achieving to their potential”.
